Practice Areas
We focus on the visa categories that matter most to our clients: entrepreneurs, families, and international businesses connecting the US and Europe.
E-2 Treaty Investor Visa
The E-2 visa allows citizens of treaty countries to enter and work in the United States based on a substantial investment in a US business. The Czech Republic has an active treaty with the United States, making Czech nationals eligible for this powerful visa category.
Whether you are starting a new business, purchasing an existing one, or investing in a franchise, the E-2 visa gives you the freedom to live and work in America while building your enterprise. The visa is renewable indefinitely as long as your business remains active.
Who Qualifies?
- Citizens of treaty countries (including Czech Republic, Germany, France, UK, and many more)
- Investors making a substantial investment in a real, operating US business
- Entrepreneurs who will develop and direct the business
- Key employees of E-2 companies (executive, supervisory, or essential skills)
K-1 Fiance Visa
The K-1 fiance visa allows the foreign-national fiance of a US citizen to enter the United States for the purpose of getting married. Once married, the foreign spouse can apply for permanent residence (a green card) without leaving the country.
International relationships are beautiful but navigating immigration paperwork should not stand in the way of your future together. We guide couples through every step, from the initial petition to the wedding and beyond.
What You Need
- Both parties must be legally free to marry
- You must have met in person within the last 2 years
- The US citizen petitioner must meet income requirements
- Evidence of a genuine, ongoing relationship
- Medical examination and background checks
L-1 Intracompany Transfer
The L-1 visa enables companies to transfer key employees from foreign offices to the United States. It is ideal for European companies expanding into the American market or US companies bringing talent from their European operations.
There are two subcategories: L-1A for managers and executives, and L-1B for employees with specialized knowledge. The L-1A category also provides a streamlined path to a green card through the EB-1C immigrant visa category.
Key Requirements
- Qualifying relationship between US and foreign entity (parent, subsidiary, branch, or affiliate)
- Employee must have worked for the foreign entity for at least 1 year in the past 3 years
- Transfer must be in a managerial, executive, or specialized knowledge capacity
- The US entity must be doing business (or be in the process of starting operations)
